I did initially lock onto Jim's tramsission at the begining of each of his overs, so I would indeed have jumped in freq a couple of times. Subsequently 'Locked' the Tx frequency and Jim reported no more freq changes from me after that, although he did end up a few Hz lower still. I was using Digipan software which is a bit too QSO-orientated and too easy to shift frequency to follow others. So it is quite possible to end up chasing eachother up and down the band! Perhaps it would have been better to use G3PLX's 'PSK31SBW' software which puts precise frequency setting first and QSO mode gimmicks second. Anyway, I estimate somewhere between -7 to -4dBW, and will only know better after some antenna base current measurements, rather than doing it an the end of 20m of feeder in the shack.
