Any reports would be very welcome. Hi Jim, LF, Things were going well, some slow QSB took you from initial -12dB down to -20dB. Just as you started to climb back up I'm engulfed in a statically charged snowstorm! I'm using my short capacity loaded vertical (as used on 500) with the MF ATU replaced by a ferrite transformer at the feedpoint. I'm trying to ascertain if it's necessary to use a tuned pre-amp in the shack or not. After several decodes between -20dB and -17dB (with the pre-amp IN) I started a sequence of IN, OUT tests, but that's when the charged snow started to fall and obliterate everything... so no further data collected. I'll leave the RX running, pre-amp out, overnight. I guess you'll QRT soon. Thanks for the tests, my first ever amateur signals on 136kHz. Cheers, John
