AS I previously wrote, this hardly qualifies as serious debate.
  However, the licence PERMITS me to radiate a signal should I so wish.=20
I am thereby allowed choice.
  For many of us, the experimentation and self-training aspects are=20
primary. I also consider myself to have, by now, satisfied my=20
competitive cravings and contest scores/qsl cards/dxcc etc. pursuits.
  By continuing to denigrate the activities of others who do not share=20
your particular enthusiasms and prejudices you fail dismally to enthuse=20
newcomers and demonstrate a very narrow-minded view of the world of=20
amateur radio about you.
Oh, and by the way I can think of at least one well-known radio amateur=20
who rarely "transmits" but has made a major and recognised contribution=20
to propogation studies at LF. QED.

rheotric here on the reflector about LF and MF but I have never heard=C2=A0

these stations actually transmitting on the bands, so I would guess=C2=A0
