Thank you for the report, the other station was indeed M0FMT, I am very pleased with your report, 100mW ERP with a 7 m vertical section using my doublet with the 430 ohm balanced feeder commoned at the variometer, doing okay up into Shetland. With all the coments recently on the reflector regarding 500kHz should I stay QRP and not upgrade to 1W ERP ? 73 Ken M0KHW IO91TV ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Pumford-Green" To: Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2008 10:08 PM Subject: Re: LF: 500kHz > On Mon, 18 Aug 2008 10:45:19 +0100 > "Ken" wrote: > >> Hello everyone. >> I am now back on 500kHz, having replaced the internal wiring that >> caused the technical smoke, still 100mW erp, 12 - 14 wpm hand keyed. >> >> 73 Ken >> >> M0KHW >> >> IO91TV > > Hello Ken, > > I think I just caught the end of your QSO tonight (with M0FMT?), not > overly strong and I didn't have time to connect up my narrow audio > filter, which would have peaked your CW up out of the noise. > > There was a faint trace of the other station a bit lower than your QRG > onthe grabber, but nothing audible in the speaker. > > Still, for 100mW ERP, and my antenna untuned tonight and thus a bit > deaf, you're doing okay up to Shetland > > Cheers, > > John > > IP90gg > Clousta > Shetland >
