In that case yes - it is very good. Lightweight and has good strength. Needs replacement from time to time depending on air pollution levels as the coppe= r layer is fairly thin. When/if the steel core is exposed to the elements it w= ill break within a short time. Be careful when stripping off the plastic insulat= ion or leave it on if you can manage the extra weight for very long lifetime. I use this kind of wire for antennas myself since I started this hobby 20 ye= ars ago and In Finland it is hard to buy these days but scrap rolls can be had for almos= t free from the local telephone workshop. A bag of coffee-bread can do wonders= on a Friday afternoon ;-) Can you simly ask for scrap wire from a decommissioned line?
