Beware: The WOLF decoder requires a "stable" transmitter, and a precisely calibrated soundcard sampling rate. Stewart KK7KA (who invented it) wrote some information about this important aspect, and how many dB's can get lost due to errors in the sampling rate and/or frequency drift. Of course, this not only applies to the receive, but also to the transmit side. See http://www.scgroup.com/ham/wolf.html : >> WOLF requires very stable and accurate transmitters and receivers. Drift of only 3 millihertz per minute is a 3 dB loss; 10 mHz/min. will probably make communication impossible. << Cheers, Wolf .
