Gents, The connection here is cable, some 'limits' on the data transfer (325Mb upload) 4pm-9pm the upload connection gets throttled back to 128Kb/S, and download to 1Mb/S.. normally I am on 4Mb/S and I thing 512 MB/s up Not sure how often that happens.. The JPG settings were set to max, an I have tweaked these down now, 50% quality seem adequate. I have also reduced the size of the capture window. It seems to default to the size of the window displayed, and I had it locked at full screen. Now reduced to about 800 by 600 The filesize has dropped significantly to about 90Kb from about 600Kb I have set the default time for the 2 pages differently too, and added a dropdown selection of refresh times this will be live shortly! 73s mark GM4ISM ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary - G4WGT" To: Sent: Friday, January 04, 2008 12:13 PM Subject: Re: LF: Re: Re: GM4ISM 500KHz Grabber > Hi Wolf, > > Thanks for the info, I set the refresh interval to 30 secs & it takes 28 > secs to complete the page then it starts to refresh the page almost > immediately not giving time to study the page, so I have set it now for 60 > secs & I have 30 secs to study the image before next refresh. > > My broadband is supposed to be up to 8Mb & shows connection speed 7.7Mb > but up & down loads are much slower than that. > > Cheers, > > Gary - G4WGT > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Wolfgang Büscher" > To: > Sent: Friday, January 04, 2008 11:37 AM > Subject: Re: LF: Re: Re: GM4ISM 500KHz Grabber > > >> Hi Gary, >> >> You wrote: >>> Only small strip at top of screen, the slow link is ok. >>> >> Increase the value of the "Refresh Interval" from 2.0 to 30 seconds (on >> the bottom of the screen). >> I have Mark's grabber running for about an hour now, and at that update >> rate, there was not a single error. >> >> There is a strange signal nead 504 kHz now, drifting in frequency, which >> must be local.
