It may be due to noise and the use of the internal ferrite rod. There are quite big phase shifts after dark sometimes, and there is (was last time I measured it) a slight sytematic wobble, but it is only a few parts in 10^10 and has a period of around 1000secs. I dont think I would use mine for a direct standard without a better aerial. Short term standard is an Austron 1250a....very nice.
