We have a slightly better antenna, added top loading. I've been busy on "other things" and Mike has been progressing arrangements for ZM2E to try to work stateside stations in 160 - 190 kHz for the first part of the ZL night, then ZM2E will QSY for Russian stations around 137 kHz. We can receive OK for 137 to 190 kHz, the QSY is for ZM2E tx frequency. We can exchange further email before 22 September. Comments at this time are: - we are sharing Quartz Hill with others operating HF, so we can not offer HF liaision - there is no internet at Quartz Hill, we can visit my QTH during the day to check reflectors and email. - the "beacon method" for LF QSO attempt is thought to be the appropriate basis for all stations in the 22/23 September LF DX event - the 137 kHz frequencies used last time are proposed to be be "repeated" this time - we are still finalising what frequencies within 160 - 190 to use for stateside, but that will not impact R6L, ZM2E will QSY to 137778.0/137778.2 kHz once we have bagged enough USA QSOs :-) - this is probably the last time for LF at Quartz Hill - I will resubscribe to the RSGB LF reflector this week, please include my private email in any "bulletin" distribution - I leave it to you to do other EU beaconing and tests after our path has sunrise at ZM2E 73, Bob ZL2CA ===8<===========End of original message text=========== 73!
