Cards cost so little it's not a lot to spend if doesn't work. You can of course use the mic input on the exsisting card but it will require some input attenuation. 73 Gary - G4WGT - IO83qp ----- Original Message ----- From: "John RABSON" To: Sent: Sunday, September 16, 2007 10:27 AM Subject: LF: A second soundcard I have a HP Pavilion Media Center a1620.fr Desktop PC running XP. I would like to use it to decode QRSS and other signals. The existing soundcard is used for dictation (and it doesn't seem to have a line input, only microphone). HP tell me that I cannot have two soundcards running at once in this computer. They say I can have two soundcards installed, but whenever I am using one, the other must be inactive. Has anyone any comments, please? John F5VLF
