It was a bit of a weak report, considering the distance. By ear, he was about the same s/n as G3KEV's daytime signal. On my TX antenna, my local noise level sits around -73 dBm, which is S5, and G4ADR wasn't moving the meter on my ICOM. I've replaced the coax that runs down the garden with LDF 4-50(!) to reduce losses and pick-up of rubbish, and the next job is to sort out my tuned loop, which should improve s/n on receive. Trouble is, it's deaf, so I need to open up the tuning box and see why it doesn't work. Also copied G3UNT at 589 this afternoon. 73, Dave G3WCB IO91rM -----Original Message----- From: owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org [mailto:owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org]On Behalf Of Dave Sergeant Sent: 11 August 2007 14:47 To: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org Subject: Re: LF: [500] G4ADR - report On 11 Aug 2007 at 14:19, Dave G3WCB wrote: > > Just caught the end of G4ADR (I think) calling CQ on 502.00. Should be quite a lot stronger than 539 with you. Dave http://www.davesergeant.com
