With 5W power, there seemed to be some deep QSB which meant that the signal was only about 50% readable. With 10W, the signal is solid. I'd need to run 200W on 137 kHz to get a similar signal, I reckon. Quick, deep, QSB seems to be a feature of this band. The QSB on 137kHz is much, much slower.
