Thanks for the info -= the trick works on the TS-690 too, but the RIT range is only +/- 1.1 kHz. = So my "sensitive" RX range ends at 501.1 kHz.  Mal was some 900 Hertz = higher .

I'll build a selective preamplifier for this band soon, to = give the deaf RX what it needs ;-)

Wolf,

Try setting the rig to 499.99kc and use the RIT to go up into the 501k= c=20 band. No more attenuator!!! That’s what we do on 505-510kc here i= n the=20 US.

Hi=20 Mal,

Armchair copy here in northwestern DL at the moment. The old= =20 TS-690 switches on an attenuator above 500 kHz (like the TS-850), &n= bsp;=20 so no meaningful S-meter reading is possible.
I am calling on 136.8 kH= z to=20 give you a "crossband-report".
Dave YXM not heard with my poor RX-set= up=20 yet.

Cheers,
 Wolf DL4YHF (DK4U at the=20 moment).
