I am xtal controlled and use 8 meg 2metre Pye Cambridge TX xtals. They were multiplied 18 times to get onto 145 megs. I now divide them by 16 (with a 4060 chip)to 500kc/s I am glad I didn't throw them away once synthersised rigs became avaiable back in the 70's. I have about five frequencies spaced across the band at the moment. A VFO or mixer VXO for CW will be be build eventually. 73 petefmt
