I have both an inv L and a large loop on 500 and should hear you provided condx are favourable. Since this band is more like 160 m then the same criteria would apply. Some nights on 160 sigs from the USA are very strong with me and other nights nothing heard. I have worked across the atlantic during good condx with just a few watts 10 -100w at times and other times even with a few hundred watts it is not possible. With your 100w or less it would be possible with the right tail wind, in fact with a good antenna at ur end you should hear some of the UK stations even with the low power but condx would have to be good. Room for thought If I get a chance and the qrn level drops I will listen for you 73 de Mal/G3KEV ----- Original Message ----- From: To: ; Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2007 8:38 PM Subject: LF: WD2XSH/23 QRV on 506.3 > > Hello the list, > > WD2XSH/23 is operating in cw beacon mode on 506.3 kHz with 100 watts into a top loaded vertical. > > WD2XSH/23 is regularly copied 3000 kM over land in Colorado, perhaps someone in the U.K., Ireland, or EU with a quiet location and beverage antenna can copy. > > My local sunset 22:57 UTC. > > All reports appreciated! > > > > -- > 73 Warren K2ORS/WD2XGJ/WD2XSH/23 > FN42hi > http://www.w4dex.com/wd2xgj.htm >
