All your reports are very helpfull and we hope after some improveents to come back on the air on friday evening 9 feb. Jay to answer your question, For this experiment we used 1.2 MM. thick aluminium welding wire. (with 5% magnesium) It is reasonable strong, cheap and very light. Perfect to use for this kind of temporaly experiments. It bridges easily without any support pole 230 Meters, hanging between a 20 Meters high airial tower and ended at a tree on 4 Meters above the ground. With the vertical part makes it a total of 250 Meters. The inpendance at the loading coil without a transformer or a tap is less than 50 Ohm. We work on it to get a bigger space than the 2.5 Meters between the vertcal wire and the tower. Regards Frank. Experimental station PE1RRF. Ps. I hope that this mail comes true, this is almost the same mail that I send on sunday, it is lost somewhere. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jay Rusgrove" To: Sent: Sunday, February 04, 2007 1:31 PM Subject: LF: Re: Test PE1RRF. > Frank, TA enthusiasts > > A couple captures from last night here. > > http://www.w1vd.com/gallery2007.html > > Please give more details on the experimental antenna. > > Jay W1VD / WD2XNS > >
