Hi Jean-Pierre, Alan, my friends, At this moment (yesterday december 13th, about 0300 UT) it was only,=20 photons (UV, X, perhaps gamma), with no weight, and so travelling at the=20 speed of light. The speed of the large particles (electrons, protons and heavier ions=20 as atoms nuclei), is more difficult to foresee, 1000, 2000 km/s, more or=20 less... They need hours to travel. Maybe they only are reaching the earth= =20 now, but more likely it was yesterday, but sometime about 30 hours after=20 they left the sun, with the usual effects on the earth magnetic field,=20 auroras, and LF conditions (?). Best 73 ! Jean-Pierre (another one, f5yg) --8323328-1734119974-1166087079=:7635--
