The ladder-line will supply a little capacitance in parallel. The sound card input impedance is around 1k but I dont think the difference will significantly reduce the signal. Because its horizontal it wont be optimum but it should work OK at those frequencies. The other option is parallel tune it in the shack and then use a fet follower so that you dont load the high impedance of the loop. You may have enough noise around to be able to put the terminals straight into a scope and swing a big variable. That will show its peaking somewhere but not the frequency. A general coverage RX will show an increase in noise as you come to resonance then use fixed caps to chase it down to 17Khz. If you rx doesnt go that far work out the inductance from the resonance that is on scale and the calculate the extra capacity to resonate down at 17.2.
