That way a guy = wouldn't have to sit around wondering if that fading in & out carrier = was QRSS or a birdie as one would know for sure if it was a real beacon = signal as the long dash would go off in a minute or less then expect = lots of regular CW. It may make ID'ing easier. It's pretty obvious that = a 505kc signal goes across the pond audible but is subject to more rapid = fading than a LF signal so a shorter ID may be needed??? Anyone?
