The station is beaconing, has made one QSO and very nearly completed its second with Scott, VE7TIL. Your help has made this possible. Starting today, the beacon is transmitting on 137,778.45 or as close to that as it can be set in QRSS60. This is to continue the experiments but I must shift my attention to repairing a home to use for retirement income. This shift will limit the time which I have to put into the experiments on 137. The main purpose of these experiments is to prove compatibility between amateur radio and the Power Line Carrier system which also uses 137 here. In order to prove the compatibility, tests will have to be made at 1 W ierp, the expected license limit we are seeking, and which will require a transmitter in the 500-1000 Watt class. The transmitter is currently ~100 Watts. For that kW amp I need to find either a reliable amp someone wants to sell, or perhaps a printed circuit board someone has made for readily available components. The circuit must have protection built into it suitable for a beacon. Please look at what you have, and if you can part with a board or amp for the experiments here, contact me. Thanks, J. VY1JA
