I managed to find the 1Hz steps but you need a steady hand as the TS-850 dial on 'Fine' is 1kHz/rev (ie 1Hz steps are about 0.3 degrees of turn!). For info, the IC-706 has 200Hz/rev as one of its standard settings. I looked in the handbook and on the web for the tuning rate mod you mentioned, but couldn't find anything. Any ideas?
