Up to now I received reports from all over Europe (PA, F, DL, OZ, G, I, SV, SV8?, EA). The current ERP is around 5 Watt, probably a little bit less, I need to confirm this by a measurement later. It might be interesting if you could check the signal strength in relation to a few NDBs nearby my qth, I plan to do some field measurment to confirm their ERP. Braunschweig, BRU, 427 kHz Celle, CEL, 311 kHz Hannover, HA, 320 kHz Wunstorf, WUN, 419 kHz Hannover, HW, 358 kHz Hannover, HAE, 332 kHz Bckeburg, BYC, 368 kHz I plan to have a special QSL printed to confirm all receptions of DI2BO. Currently DI2BO is transmitting on 440.040 kHz. This frequency has been coordinated with Walter, DJ2LF / DI2AG to allow to observe and compare both beacons (DI2AG on 440.044 kHz) once we do simultaneous transmissions in QRSS. At the moment the CW speed is around 10 wpm, I am using an old mechanical CW generator that once was used to key an NDB (there is a sticker on it saying "Property of the German Authority for Flight Safety"). Later I will switch to an electronic keyer once I have programmed it but I will maintain the speed as it is for the tme being (QRSS is planned later). I plan to update station details and transmitting schedule on http://www.qru.de/di2bo.html as well as here on the reflector. The beacon will run full power today and next night, tomorrow morning I plan to switch to QRP which is about 12 dB less than what I am running currently. I will switch to high power during evenings and night.
