I use a push-pull preamplifier with two J310 fets, and two bipolar transistors to feed the coax cable back to the shack. The design was taken from G3LDO's book "The Low frequency experimenter's handbook" (fig 2.16 on page 30). The schematic may also be available on the internet, somewhere. The RX is an ICOM IC-PR1000, which is quite a good RX but is useless at 137 kHz without the pre-amp. 73 Dave G3WCB IO91RM -----Original Message----- From: owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org [mailto:owner-rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org]On Behalf Of Joze Konda Sent: 13 April 2006 07:08 To: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org Subject: LF: Re: CQ EA1PX Hello Dave Is your tuned loop with or without preamplif. ? 73 , Joze S52AB , JN75OU ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave G3WCB" To: Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2006 1:05 AM Subject: LF: CQ EA1PX > Hello, Jose, LF, > > This signal captured from you this evening (see screenshot) I'm using a 1,3m > tuned loop "beaming" towards the east, so you are in the null of the > antenna.
