The standard sampling point occurs 25 microseconds after the start of each pulse. The peak power is approximately 400 kilowatts. The average power varies directly with the repetition rate of the pulses. Maximum output power averages 7.5 kilowatts; this occurs at a repetition rate of 180 pulses per second" So, the nominal power level was not the peak power, but the useful power at the sampling point (2 and half cycles after the start of the waveform).
