I have attached a circuit diagram. The beauty of LF is that good selectivity can be achieved in front of the active devices, which greatly helps to reduce overload problems. At HF it is often common sense to use as little gain as possible in the front end of a receiver. At LF I have used up to 50 dB gain without adverse effects.
