Hu Uwe, the loop you quote is still quite small but it should radiate. I produced a Excel speadsheet that compares a loop with a T at the address below...I think the files is Loopcalc.xls but a click on this page should download it to you.

There are details for tuning and matching a loop entirly with switched capacitors somewhere. Rik, ON4YDs site may be the best starting place.
