I use an IC-R75 receiver with the OCXO option and the 250Hz CW filter. I always have both preamps switched in. The noise blanker is usually off as it generates unwanted QRM lines. The antenna is an inverted L, 19 metres vertical and 15 metres horizontal, with an elevated loading coil of 3 mH at the elbow and the rest of the loading at ground level. My location is reasonably quiet, semi-rural, 15km North of Dunedin on the East coast of the South Island. This seems to give me some sea gain towards the US and I have had some success copying Laurence KL1X in Oklahoma. Argo 134 is generally used to look for signals. When is your talk Laurie? I don't have any pictures but could take a few if you like. 80 metre signals are starting to build again although I am usually homr from work a bit late. I have worked G3WXX and G4AMN a few times over the last month or so. I look forward to hearing you again. Mike ZL4OL
