All we have to do is decide on the times.... As a general rule at weekends, I have always thought that it would be a good idea to call around the "top of the hour" so if anyone was just casually listening they could get into the habit of being less casual at 10 o-clock, 11 o-clock etc. The biggest problem is everyone sitting around their receivers complaining that there's nobody on! Try calling!! Oh, and if you call me I probably won't hear you because of Rugby, I must get my loop working again. More on lack of activity.......... I have on the reflector suggested (three times) that we should concentrate on specific activity times instead of everybody calling randomly in vain. I suggested this two or three years ago after having gone to the summer-QTH a lot of times (wintertime) and there calling NUMEROUS CQ:s, hearing absolutely nothing ! (I cannot be QRV from home due to lack of space and also very high QRM-levels making it impossible to hear anything but the strongest ones , OH1TN, YU7AR and some more). The first time the response was that the band is rather busy (!) so special activity times is not necessary !!!! The second and third times have given absolutely no response !! I have also mailed the LF-editor of RadCom and suggested that we concentrate on specific activity times. No response !! Anyone interested in more activity on 136, or are all totally satisfied trying to hear meaningless messages across "the water" ? 73 SM5EUF / Urban -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: Ko Versteeg Till: rsgb_lf_group@blacksheep.org Datum: den 30 juli 2005 16:06 Ämne: Re: LF: LF Activity, lack of >CHRISTOPHER OSBORN wrote: >> It's not entirely correct that there's zero LF activity at present. >> Most weekends I put out several CQ's, if not exactly expecting a reply then at least to give the would-be LF operator something to tune in to. >> >> I've been calling unsuccessfully this morning for ages, albeit with my humble 90 watts and 40 metre aerial ! >> Chris G3XIZ > >Chris & Group > >That's Right, Also heard this morning were DL2HRE 549, DK4U 529 >,PA0WFO 559 G3XIZ 559 > >73 de Ko, NL9222 > > >
