Dear Walter,
would You please so kind in sending me a QSL- Card ?
I wrote an Article in 7/CQ-DL about my experiences in receiving DI2AG. I also send you some screenshots before (remember the failure in keying ?)

Dear Steve and All,
let me tell you a little bit about DI2AG on 440Khz. I am ham now since 51years and was always interested in HF-propagation, from UHF to LF and MW as well. As we do not have an amateur radio location on MW I asked the the german authorities for a special permit with low power and only very small band operation - CW, QRSS, DFCW, PSK....... And I got it. 9W ERP, 200Hz bandwidth, 440KHz. The permit is valid to the end of 2005, maybe it can be prolonged. Mostly DI2AG operates as a beacon on 440.044KHz in QRSS3 with 0.5W ERP, sometimes at weekend or on request with 3W ERP. Got reports from 14 european countries ( sorry, not VE, W ), ODX is 2463Km to TF.
But please realize: DI2AG is no amateur radio application, the "DI"-prefix is only for research and test. Therefore no amateur radio operation, no duplex and so on.  (But if you send me a sreenshot with reception I will send you a QSL-card ;-)

Uwe...would this be a proposal for amateur radio use of the 600m spectrum or for some other purpose?

Former Seefunker  in Germany sent a proposal to RegTP ( Regulierungsbehörde ... ) too.
The proposal is speaking about the use in Museumships
Please be most patient

I posted a note to this reflector that was written for the RSGB's Spectrum Forum the other day - maybe you and others haven't seen it. The position in the UK is that the RSGB submitted a proposal for access to frequencies around 500kHz, see http://www.rsgb-spectrumforum.org.uk/mf.htm.  This is fairly self-explainatory.  The proposal is still being considered by our regulator, Ofcom.

Elsewhere, Walter, DJ2LF has a special permit for the current year for a beacon, DI2AG, that transmits on 440.044kHz.

Could someone bring me up to speed on this in the UK or elsewhere in Europe? Our Industry Canada liason person is looking for information to bolster a possible proposal for a 600m amateur allocation. Any background history would be helpful.

Thanks!
