I see in the new QST that R and L electronics has a closeout on the Icom FL54 filter, which is a 270 Hz 9MHz filter for $49.95 . I called R and L and the man said that it looked like the FL-101 Icom filter (same size) but that it seemed to have flimsy solder tabs in place of the pins on an FL-101, but that the spacing of the tabs was the same as the spacing of the pins. I'm thinking this might be a good deal if one could just solder pins to the FL54 and plug it in. Any thoughts? Btw R&L is at www.randl.com -- 73 Warren K2ORS/WD2XGJ FN42hi
