Keep in mind that PSK31 (from which PSK01 is just a slower variant) was intended as a keyboard-to-keyboard mode. There is are decent FEC capabilities in G3PLX's PSK implementation, but it uses QPSK in that mode to maintain the same throughput, and IMO QPSK in very slow modes demands too much frequency stability (for RX, TX, and analog/digital converter clock). Well. just a few thoughs .. I may add FEC coding to (B)PSK01 but I think WOLF- or JT65- like block codes are way more efficient, so it may be more rewarding to add a simple ("Jason-like") user interface to Stewart's programs. Any volunteers ? ;-) 73, Wolf DL4YHF . Hartmut Wolff schrieb: >John, > > > >>WD2XES will be running in Spectrum Laboratory's PSK01 mode tonight on >>137.442 kHz, starting by 2300 UTC.
