Several complete dots and dashes were copied at 'O'. Even one complete call was readable at 'M'. This confirms my belief that a QRSS10 QSO could be completed, with a minimal info exchange and above average conditions. Long term followers of the problem of a transatlantic two-way will appreciate that there is a trade-off between S/N (and hence QRSS speed) and the length of time the path is open. Plainly my 100mW ERP is not enough for this (though perhaps a split speed QSO may take place under exceptional conditions), but it should be possible for those running closer to the licensed max.
