Im keeping the tx on +24 hours unless requested - a great way to test psu's and lpf components! I was in Texas (y'all) over thanksgiving and checking on ground and skywave signals from this beacon from the vehicle rx = ic706mk1 and LF Engineering L400b magmounted on top of the Toyota Tundra - Southern Texas is about 7-10dB down from the main lobe (in theory) but was audible at around 0-the 550 mile range during the day from all quiet locations, just, even into the hill country to the West of San Antonio. At night it was qrm dependant but certainly not any more readable or stronger. Not a lot of sky wave/ground wave path fades seen this time, and at this range and bearing. Belated happy thanksgiving to those on this side of the pond. Laurence KL1X/5 Bville OK em26aq
