Dear Jeff, LF Group,

The beacon is now running on 137.700kHz - it is transmitting QRSS3 with a long CW identifier in a repeating 10 minute cycle. I shall keep it running for the next few hours, assuming no thunderstorms or other problems here; any reports would be very welcome.

I'm afraid I have no VHF equipment here at the moment Jeff, so I guess it will have to be via e-mail for now,

Cheers, Jim Moritz

Hello Jim and the list!

 S U P E R !!!

We receive your transmission only 599  (-86 dBm) on the selective voltmeter SPM3.

You are the first solid signal completly identified at this moment.
A super signal exept the terrifics cracks from storm!

We have record your transmission, but it is a too large file ( 969 Ko); may i send you
it directly?

VY 73

Cheers from Mike and Jeff
