The 1041 flare (Class X1.1) shows a 10dB enhancement on Brian's 24 hour plot, followed by a 15 dB absorption dip as the flux dies away. This is probably because the declining flux produces a lower level of ionisation below the "reflection height" resulting in increased absorption. The peak only lasted a few minutes.
