I cannot give you an accurate 'so many dBs above noise' John, but you certainly sounded 599 to me. Keep improving that antenna and there is no reason why you shouldn't work all of Europe. In theory, my very long wire shouldn't work, but I think the length of wire simply looks like a lot of top loading for the 60 ft vertical section. Actually it's not vertical but slopes up to a tall tree on top of a bank, then there is about 1,000 feet of wire around a field. Bryan, nice to know you heard me on a proper receiver!
