My first sight was at about 2315z despite heavy local noise which reduced a normal "O" copy to "M". By about 0100z the copy was "O" despite the noise. I then have "O" call strings on every screen, even through a fade at 0300z right through to morning noise return at 0600z (my neighbour goes to work) There is a visible "T" streak even through that The last "VO" is just visible at 0830z. Best strength here was between 0400 and 0600z. I was expecting a possible degradation in signals last night, but it seems as though they may have been boosted. The Geomagnetic activity only reached Kp=5 and the Dst index was not greatly increased (depressed if you regard it as a negative value) Cheers de Alan G3NYK alan.melia@btinternet.com
