(it is usual S1-2 without the RF-amp in winter time - at the september's beacons was S5-6 without RF-amp) RX: ANT - 2km BOG (beverage on the ground) + 2.1kHz electromechanical filter(centered 136.75kHz) on an input RF-amp (+25dB) + TS-850 (500+250Hz IF filters) I believe, as the useful signals too were very strongly absorbed (DCF39 was abt S9 with RF-amp in 25dB - it is usual abt S9 without RF-amp) Interestingly also - same absorption (the low level of QRM/QRN and the useful signals) was observed on 160m - on Icom-775 with the RF-amp in 10dB and full size Quad QRN/QRM level was S2-3 - it is usual abt S3-4 without RF-amp) The level of QRM/QRN has grown up to S3-4(with RF-amp) after 18z - I very much confidently began to recept OM2TW, YU7AR, S52AB, F6CWA I hope that in the following beacon's tests the success can reach me ;-) HNY 2004 ! I hope LF propagation in 2004 year will be much better than in a season the autumn - winter 2003 73! Ed RU6LA ed@dx.ru http://136.73.ru
