Reminds my of a 1958 article in Radio-TV News (I think) describing construction of a CB transceiver using 6AQ5s that I built. Is there any way to figure out which magazine your Lowfer article was in? A lot of us would like to get our hands on it for a 'feel' of what was going on back then. Unfortunately there aren't too many libraries that carry publications going back that far. There was another article in an electronics publication about 20 years ago that I thought described a Lowfer transmitter and receiver (and I told a number of guys I was searching for it in my boxes of old magazines), but after finding it, I was disappointed when it turned out to be for the <10kHz band.
