Yes indeed. I use Pegasus Mail (http://www.pmail.com) which is excellent and virtually immune from all the MS exploits. It can display HTML correctly, but for preference I have set it to only display the plain text version of HTML mails if they have one. In any case the use of a GIF attachment to show text information (and not even clickable URLs) is a lazy way. The information could just as easily have been typed into the body of a normal email.
