Hello Rich, sorry to hear that you couldn't be active in QRSS due to problems with Win2000 and the parallel port. But it is a known problem. It is because - in contradiction to the serial port - cannot be on "pin level" accessed via the windows API (at least I don't know how ... if someone knows all info is welcome) so I had to access some memory locations direct. It works under any windows version that is not "NT-like", so up to Win98 and not for Win20000, XP etc ... But the serial port should work under any Win version. I (and probably many other programmers) dream of the sweet days of DOS when a PC was an "open box" and almost any port (and function such as the hardware timer) could be easily accessed.
