I vote for the implementation of the optional limiter in Jason, even if it will delay the release of V0.95 a couple of days.
If this really leads to a more immune system, perfetto - otherwise, to anti-parallel germanium or low-barrier Schottky diodes across the soundcards input may also do the job for a start.
