You are not off topic. Cave radio makes extensive use of LF, although not on amateur frequencies and the references you give look very interesting. In Europe we predominantly use 87 kHz but other frequencies are used on occasion. If you would like know more about us and what we do, please have a look at www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/~arb/creg/ and www.heyphone.org Regards, John Rabson (G3PAI) Editor Cave Radio and Electronics Journal ---- Original Message ----- From: "Dick Rollema" To: "LF-Group" Sent: Saturday, August 03, 2002 11:20 AM Subject: LF: Cave Radio > To All from PA0SE, > > I apologize for using the reflector for a subject that has nothing to do > with LF. > But I know there are subscribers to the list who are interested in cave > radio and I don't know how to address them directly. > > Radio Bygones, August/September 2002, Issue No. 78, contains the following > article (7 pages): > > "Radio Underground - South African experience of radio communications in > mines", by Brian Austin. > , > Attached the bibliography at the end of the article. > > RB is published by Wimborne Publishing Ltd > 408 Wimborne Road East > Ferndown > BH22 9ND England > E-mail: radiobygones@wimborne.co.uk > Phone 01202 873872, Fax 0120274562 > > Online issues are available to download from www.radiobygones.com > > 73, Dick, PA0SE
