Here is a recording of my Lowfer beacon at 200 km during the daytime, with good copy: http://webpages.charter.net/w1tag/files/TAG-01.jpg Here is a recording taken 1 hour after local sunset with lots of static and a weaker signal: http://webpages.charter.net/w1tag/files/TAG-02.jpg Here is the same post sunset recording with the CoolEdit brick wall limiter followed by 20 dB of attenuation to get the level back down. The limiter was made by raising all inputs greater than -90 dB up to 0 dB level. Nasty. But effective! http://webpages.charter.net/w1tag/files/TAG-03.jpg As you can see, some improvement results. I plan to do more playing over the next few days. John Andrews, W1TAG
