Thanks for an interesting demonstration, and also for the info provided on air.
I had solid copy on PA0SE's machine-generated FELDHELL transmission, perfectly readable, but as already mentioned by Alan the images were a bit light (audio level into the soundcard perhaps a bit too low).

I called PA0SE using IZ8BLY's nice program several times but the <= 80mW ERP seem to be insufficient for this mode, which is definitely not a weak-signal mode despite its quite small bandwidth.

There are a few MBytes of screenshots from Markus' and Dick's HELL transmissions on the laptop now, if someone is interested I can put them on a website or mail them. Also very clear black and white "barcode" from Jim's overs in CW, very good readable.

After Dick went QRT, DF6NM and myself (at DF0WD) tried the "DX" mode of the IZ8BLY Hellschreiber which gives better readability because the letters have double width - but still ok to have a relatively fluent conversation.

Dick, you mentioned some photographs of your WW2-machine during your QSO with Jim - is it possible to send them to me, too ? - or will they be available on someone's website

Thanks in advance, and good luck for the test on sunday. Will try to call you again with the bold letters, maybe a HELL/HELL QSO is possible then.

Regards,
 Wolf
