Dear AADE LC Meter IIB users, I am also very fond of this nice LC Meter but I have a question: When I have pressed the button for measuring inductors and the circuit is open, the meter reads: "Not an inductor". But when I press the button for measuring capacitors and connect both test imputs, only once I remember to have seen the indication: "Not a capacitor" (or something like this). But in general, when shortcircuiting both inputs, I get an unstable pF reading; it seems that under these conditions the oscillator operates in an uncontrolled mode because it is forced to work with a rather low parallel inductance. This does not really bother me, but I guess this behaviour is not intended. Is this problem still existing or has it been cured now (perhaps by introducing another resistor or capacitor which dos not allow any oscillations under these conditions)? I have my LC Meter already in use for several years. HW? 73 Ha-Jo, DJ1ZB
