Some want information, others are offering advice, this experiment could become a full time job!! Lots of information also supplied would indicate that a proper engineered vertical of modest size outperforms a loop of the size that the average amateur could install for Transmitting. Its a long story, but generally speaking loops are great for Receiving, bearing in mind the bi-directional limitation and verticals excellent for both TX/RX but could be noisy if one lives in a hostile electrical environment. Install whatever suits you environment best. I am happy with my vertical and the loop as a spare RX antenna resonated with an ATU for both 73 and 136 khz, but could be modified for other allocations as per ZL and the USA if anyone wants to transmit. I will be looking out for the ZL6 tests soon, if anyone in the USA/Canada is able to TX, I will also watch out. 73 de G3KEV
