The difference between no antenna connected to my rx and antenna connected is 20 db. I need attenuation sometimes for best signal over noise. The location here out in the country is very quiet, all utility services are underground, no overhead power lines or telephone lines etc. Environmental noise is virtually nil and good for weak signal reception. 73 de Mal/G3KEV
