I was not going to do so because it had been raining steadily for several hours and this tends to reduce the erp due to (I think) dielectric losses. However I managed to get 3.5 amps into the antenna in spite of everything including the coil plastic cover being soaked. Perhaps the RF will dry it off - steam radio!
