The CME is due (late 25th or 26th maybe even later...this was only and X1.0 though it was preceded by an M4.0 so the plasma 'glob' will be quite big ) but the injected ions (electrons) take about another 3 days to start to have radio effects at these lattitudes. It seems to take time for them to diffuse down to the D layer and out from the magnetic poles. There is a big proton event at the moment and these 'seem' to coincide somethimes with good conditions. Don't write conditions off until Wednesday night at the earliest..... in fact it could be getting better. Cheers de Alan G3NYK alan.melia@btinternet.com
